High path with the start at the top
The beautifully situated Dreischusterhütte is one of the most popular hiking and excursion destinations on the northern edge of the Sesto Dolomites, less than half an hour's climb from the car park in the Innerfeldtal valley. The high-level trail from the Haunold chairlift is much further, but also more varied: lots of views, especially of the mighty mountain peaks of the Haunold (2966 m) and the Dreischusterspitze (3145 m). And if you are in a good mood, you can combine the hike with an ascent of the Haunoldköpfl. From the hotel, take the bus to Innichen (Haunold) and then the chairlift to the Haunold mountain station. From the lift station (1493 m) you hike briefly downhill on the sandy road to the lower valley (1434 m). From the ditch in the forest, take the marked path uphill to the Innicher Alm (1703 m). Behind it, the trail crosses several ditches, only slightly ascending. At the fork to Hanoldköpfl (approx. 1800 m; sign), the trail turns south and runs gently up and down into the Innerfeldtal valley. Fascinating view of the huge, multi-towered massif of the Dreischusterspitze. In the Gwengwald forest, the trail descends slightly; a little above the large car park, you meet the valley path. Follow it, crossing a mighty scree slope, into the valley to the wide, flat floor of the Innerfeld, where the Dreischusterhütte (1626 m) is on the left. Descent: On the road to the large car park (1480 m), then away from the traffic, following the red and white markings, further out of the valley to the lower, smaller car park. On the asphalt in the larch forest to the mouth of the valley and down to the right to the Zum Klaus inn (1259 m). There you will find the bus stop to return to the hotel in Sesto/Moos.
Haunoldköpfl, 2158
From the high trail into the Innerfeldtal valley, you climb the Haunoldköpfl in a good 1 hour on a marked path, a real box seat with a three-star view of the Dreischusterspitze (3145 m), which from this perspective presents itself as the summit of an entire mountain range. The Haunold (2966 m) is similar. from the west summit of the Köpfl, there is a great view into its wild northern falls.
