Difficulty and general information:
Easy via ferrata with starting point on 3190m. We have to manage 1000m of altitude in descent.

Starting point:
From Dobbiaco we turn left into the Höhlenstein Valley and further to Cortina to the cable car station „Freccia nel cielo“ which is situated next tot he Olympia-stadion. There is a big parking place.

Ascent:
Rise with the cable car „Freccia nel cielo“ to the last station on 3190m. We go over the steel stairs up and follow a large path to the top of Tofana di Mezzo (3244m). We go back to the crossing with the sign „Formenton“. There starts the via ferrata.

Descent:
From the top of Tofana di Dentro (sign Formenton) we follow the red signed way and pass the „Baraccca degli Alpini“ down to the Formentonsattel on 2860m. The descent over the east-slope requires attention and sure-footedness (partially secured). We follow the marking number 407 to the crossing below the cable car station and turn right to the station on 2470m. We go down with the cable car.
