Difficulty and general information:
Easy via ferrata on the steps of the 1st World War.

Starting point:
From Dobbiaco into the Höhlenstein Valley, passing Schluderbach until „Gemärk“ (Cimabanche) and further to Restaurant Ospitale (1475m, parking place next the street below the restaurant).

Ascent:
From Ospitale (sign number 208) on the bycicle way Dobbiaco-Cortina for about 1km in the direction Dobbiaco. Attention! Before the bridge you have to turn right (no sign)! Very steep over a path trough the forest uphill (follow the red points) and on 1800m you have to cross a ditch. Then further to a lonely birch tree (crossing with the descent). We follow the path to the left and reach the rests of the 1st World War. We go on and reach the starting of the via ferrata.

Descent:
50m of altitude below the Forcella Verde begins the steep descent (right side) over gravel. At the end of the gravel-fields stands a sign (Ospitale) between the trees. We go steep down until we reach a lonely birch tree (way of ascent) and we follow the way back to the starting point.
