This tour has a very beautiful ascent and it’s the most beautiful route to the Paternkofel.

Starting point
We go through the Puster Valley to Dobbiaco, further at the left into the Höhlenstein Valley (direction Cortina) and to Schluderbach. We go on in the direction Misurina and shortly before the village, we turn left on the private street to the big parking place next to Auronzo Hut.

From the Auronzo Hut (2326m) we go to Rifugio Lavaredo and on the right way (bicycle way) in the direction of Paternsattel and further to a junction. We follow the way number 104 to Büllelejoch (2522m) were we have to go down for 200m/altitude. Arrived there, the via ferrata is signed. First we go to the South then to the West until Seescharte (2552m). A path leads us on a grassy slope up to the beginning of the via ferrata.

From Paternkofel (2744 m) we go to Gamsscharte (2650 m). From there we go over the Luca-Innerkofler-Steig (see tour nr. 7) to Drei Zinnen Hut (2405 m) and over the Paternsattel back to the starting point .
